Medley Joins Zap Tech's i42 Studio in $5m Acquisition
Written by Christina Levada
Medley, the all-in-one website builder for creators, has been acquired by Zap Tech for $5m.
Medley has been integrated into i42, the group's venture studio, with its loyalty and verification technology built into the studio's portfolio of products. Following the acquisition, Medley founder Tom Littler joined the group to lead product across i42's venture portfolio.
Founded in August 2021 by Tom Littler and Ben Doherty, Medley let creators build their entire online presence in one place - a website, a shop to sell products, and discounts and rewards for their community. What drove it was the loyalty engine: Medley verified what community members had actually done - followed on Instagram, YouTube or TikTok, subscribed to an email list, bought or contributed across platforms - so creators could reward genuine engagement with discounts and bonuses, rather than simply collecting email addresses.
Hundreds of creators signed up to the platform, growing the business from a £250k seed round led by Fuel Ventures in March 2023 to acquisition twelve months later.
Tom Littler, Founder of Medley, said:
"This deal is the validation of everything we set out to build - a company creators could run their entire online presence through, in one place, without hacking together five different tools. Being part of Zap and now i42 gives Medley's technology a much bigger stage to grow on. Fuel Ventures backed us from the seed round, and that early trust is a big part of how we got here in twelve months."
Mark Pearson, Founder of Fuel Ventures, commented:
"We backed Tom and the team early because they moved with a speed and clarity that's rare at this stage. This outcome, twelve months on, is exactly the kind of decisive execution we look for when we invest - and we're glad to see the team and technology continue their journey inside i42."
About Deaku
Medley was the all-in-one platform for creators to build and run their entire online presence in one place - a website, a shop, and a community loyalty engine, without stitching together separate tools. Its core innovation was verification-based loyalty: rather than simply harvesting email addresses, Medley confirmed what community members had genuinely done across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and email, letting creators reward real engagement with discounts and rewards. Founded in 2021 by Tom Littler and Ben Doherty and backed by Fuel Ventures, Medley grew to serve hundreds of creators before its acquisition by Zap Tech in 2024, where its technology now powers the i42 venture studio's portfolio.
